As part of the leadership team Mike oversees Children’s Ministry, birth through fifth grade. His passion is to partner with families to see that children come into a real relationship with Jesus, learn the truths of God’s Word, and grow in their love for God and others.
Mike holds a B.S. Degree in Biology and Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and a Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is currently enrolled at The Moody Bible Institute pursuing a Masters in Divinity.
Mike and his wife Terry have four children, Lydia, Michael, Matthew and Elizabeth. They live in the inner-city Chicago neighborhood of South Lawndale - La Villita. Before coming to Harvest Rolling Meadows in 2005, Mike and Terry served fourteen years in a Church plant in the La Villita neighborhood. Mike oversaw Children’s Ministry there as well. He also serves as the Director of the Eye Clinic of the Lawndale Christian Health Center, a compassion ministry serving the poor and uninsured.
